My question to Amby: This man claims to have lots of cash, however, the only one who follows him is jjgold and patty on occasion. He is in late 40s based on looks and resembles a character from one of the Gremlin movies. He also looks like he is dying of Aids and/or Cancer. Name this poster (and there are 2 options here).

I am a pretty big hockey fan....depends on what you call a die hard fan? I honestly haven't caught much hockey this year though. I got into liking hockey as a kid because I lived in a town in which hockey was huge. Although I didn't play most of my friends did and so we all used to talk about it all the time. I have actually never played ice hockey before, we used to play street hockey all the time in the neighborhood though.

I have been to Canada probably 15 times. Never nailed a Canadian Chick though.

Eric Tangradi....meh I am not sold on him. Everyone seems to love him and his upside but I don't know...big stat about him that scares me is that he was -1 last year with Scranton Wilkes Bare in 65 games.

Betting on hockey...I have a local (most of his lines are shit though), I use SIA and betPhoenix.

Never got a chance to see Mario and Wayne live. I actually got to my first Pens game last year opening night when I went with Blitty. It was pretty awesome to get to see them raise the banner. I was also glad i got ot see the Igloo before they closed it down. That was a neat quirky little arena.

Never been stiffed by a book...thus far.

Watching on TV....football probably is the best all around. Playoff hockey is a close second. For some reason I think football lends itself to tv so well compared to other sports. It probably has to do with the down time in between plays in which announcers have a chance to interject some interest facts or replays. As far as live is concerned...I love baseball. i think there is nothing better than going to a baseball game. I love the smells, the stands, the sounds.....the weather....best by far live.

Yes I have a college diploma, i went to St. Lawrence University which is a big time d1 hockey school, although it is a very small school. It is just only about an hour and a half from Ottawa (even closer if you drive fairly fast), which explains why I have been to Canada so much.

Well i never saw first year Jenbird, but honestly I just don't find either Jenbird or Teela attractive. I mean that in the nicest way possible because I think Teela is a nice girl.

Amby I don't have a strong feeling for your sportsbetting habits and tendencies. Do you bet daily or just once in awhile? Do you win? Do you have favorite teams, and does that effect your betting?

No, not daily probably a couple bets every 2 or 3 days. do i win? I think lifetime I am up...slightly. I do have a couple favorite teams but I try to stay away from those games completely. I very rarely bet games in which some of my favorite teams are involved.

Amby, what thoughts went through your mind to pick your RBS name? Amby do you recommend for old folks living in western pa to re open their oil wells if they expect to live for the next 12-20 years?

It is an old handle that I have used for years....it does incorporate part of my name and initials.

Oil in PA is probably 10-15 years away still. Everyone is far more focused on Natural Gas in PA to worry about oil. Once some of those wells are done and they get all the gas out of the area, there is a chance that they could come back and rework many of those wells to draw out any oil they think might be there. It is hard to say when that might happen though because these natural gas wells in PA are coming in at rates they didn't expect. They might last 5 years or they might last 30 years....it really is uncharted territory.

what if you already have an active oil well there? keep it going or way until the natural gas "era" for that area is over?

Tough call....if there is already an active Oil well I would say that should stay open. The problem right now is that the price of Natural gas price is crap. It all depends on what you think the price of oil is going to do...if you think it will be significantly higher...i would say wait but I am not sure that it will be. The demand for oil is going to decrease over the next 10-20 years as many of the car manufactures are making every effort they can to find alternate ways to power cars. Chevy is introducing the Volt, Toyota comes out with its Prius Plug In in 2012 and I am sure other companies will follow. I think you will also see more Natural Gas cars in the coming years as a stop gap between gas cars and Electric until that technology can get better.

are we stuck with the health care bill now or can it be abolished?
is it true that theres hidden agendas in the bill that will stick it to the small business owners essentially driving them outta business unless they go underground and drop all insurance/liabilty and dodge the taxman?
can I apply/receive govt cheese to survive the holidays coming up?
can you get me a job as a roughneck in the fields?

It is hard to say what the GOP take over will really do. It squarely lies on the shoulders of the democrats and President Obama still. If Obama continues to push some of these platforms and bills that he has for the past two years, will the rest of the democrats follow or will they not want to push their luck seeing the way this midterm election went. I think many of them will try to cover their own asses for the election in 2 years.

The GOP is actually in a better position now than if they had won the House and the Senate for this reason. If going forward the economy continues to do poorly, they can point to the fact that the democrats still had their president and controlled the Senate and thus 2/3rds. If the economy starts to turn around, they can take credit for the turnaround because it happened after this midterm election.

I honestly have no idea about EVERYTHING that is in that health care bill. I have heard some really really scary things about it though. The little businesses will be hurt the most by the health care bill as it will drastically cut into their profits to offer health care to their employees. I am guessing instead of shutting down completely we will have many more people that will be "contractors" and be on the hook personally to pick up some sort of insurance. This brings up a whole new business model that will be out there, in my opinion.

I don't know your situation...maybe you can apply and get gov't cheese.

Becoming a roughneck is no joke. I could point you in the right direction but I have no pull in that area. Those guys make some pretty good money but their job is dangerous as hell. They are often working long shifts and it is constant hard labor. They work 80 hour weeks...sometimes and are on the road for 6 months at a time....but they can bring home up to 6 figures.

no she deleted you before you even made the comment. She was just deleting a bunch of people that were my friends or she knew through me. Don't take it personally she deleted a lot of people.
