Daft, I am relatively new to baseball wagering but isn't RL sucker bets?

Daft, let me clarify that by my asking you this question regardless of how it is worded that my intentions are not to accuse you of being a sucker for this particular play. I am merely trying to confirm or debunk what I have heard elsewhere.

durito, choo, MF'r (name that pro sports bettor) could answer this question better than I can but simply put, no.

You will often see a lot of "square" bettors bet a lot of favorites @ -1.5 so you may be confusing that maybe (-1.5 wagers are not always sucker bets btw).

Anyone else want to chime in?

In the past I have played the RL and played it plus money with the -1.5 side on a hunch here and there but I would never try to beat the system or sustain profit by making this a regular play.

NOT that that is what you are doing here. I just thought I would ask the question since this thread had a RL play.

Yeah. -1.5 RL's are generally shaded to the favorite. If the dog has a good bit of value throughout the betting cycle on the ML, the +1.5 RL will typically follow suit. The only problem with RL's is that they have more juice, so they typically don't yield as high of value (although +1.5 has a higher expectation so it is generally just as favorable for bankroll growth).
