Is there any actual hot dog under there?

Not in the version I ate as a kid. But if you google "Michigan hot dog" most pictures show a regular hot dog with ground beef and tomato sauce.

There's a place near College and Bathurst that apparently sells authentic Montreal steamies and I want to go try them out.

Steamies are easier to eat without making a mess of yourself. Not a big fan of the mushy texture though.

i use the mandarin and orange flavor chicken sauces from panda express (they sell it at walmart) ...throw some on the chicken for the last minute or 2 of cooking on the stove.. not bad

I would go fiveteamer. It is called Caplansky's and it is supposed to be good. I keep meaning to go but I keep putting it off. I canot go today as I have to work at Air Canada Centre at 7:30pm for Kings of Leon. if you end up going, tell me how you liked it.
