Haha how did that haggle go?Last night in Vegas.
Having a 2 oz pour of Michter's US *1 Small Batch 91.4 Proof
$25. A lot of pleasant vanilla in the nose. It's quite delicious. I only ordered it because the guys on Billions "drink" Michter's 25 Year so I decided to try something new.
I managed to haggle my way into a 2 oz pour of Pappy 10 year for $100 at The Steakhouse at Circus Circus.
The Streakhouse at Circus Circus is a dimly lit, old school renowned steakhouse located in a hotel that caters to lower middle class parents with lots of young children.
It's a head scratcher. I highly recommend it. Everything was delicious. I also ate there in 2007.
Meh. Prob in the top bourbons I've ever had but not by 10x.

All the collectors have it.Pappy is amazing - I think the 20 year is my favorite. Had the 23 year once but liked the 20 best. 12 and 15 yr are also quite good. Tough to find these days, lost my hook up after I moved.
Just had a first sip. Solid. It is bourbon-like and aged a bit more than other Canadian whiskys in this price range. It's no Maker's Mark but it makes a really good rye & coke. Some peeps be saying that this is a decent bourbon replacement. We'll see aboat that. #tradewar #elbowsup

Is Makers not available where you are or just crazy expensive?Just had a first sip. Solid. It is bourbon-like and aged a bit more than other Canadian whiskys in this price range. It's no Maker's Mark but it makes a really good rye & coke.
