Good job guey.

I just bought the regular Four Roses and I think I prefer it to the Small Batch. It is the smoothest, most subdued bourbon I've ever tasted. Very sweet. I taste honey and orange. It has nothing to do with the Small Batch.

I'll rank that shit once I've had a couple more.

I will have to look for it at the liquor store next time I need some dranks.

Really??

How is the roommate Jellopoo?

She has those kind of nipples that point UP. You know what I mean? And she's amazing in bed.

Boys, let's not taint the bourbon thread with stories of swapping DNA with roomies

But yeah Jello hurry over to Random Thoughts and give us some deets. ESPECIALLY the party about her being amazing in bed.

Four Roses is an exceptional "cheap" bourbon. I don't know what's in there but it's uber-smooth and warm and sweet. Think toned-down Maker's/Bulleit combo. Incredible value - we'll put it just ahead of its small btach cousin, which is entirely different (more floral/vegetal and less sweet.)

New entry at #12, Old Fitzgerald's 1849 is a balanced, mild & sweet affair that doesn't disappoint. It is on the sirupy side of things with a little bit of everything I like in a bourbon - smoke, spice & caramel/toffee aromas. Tastes quite young for what is supposed to be aged 8 years. Not remarkable in any way but it is well above average. I could sip this for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. Price is a notch above the standard JD/Beam fare and is well worth it. Good job, old man.

We're on our way to the liquor store. I remember some of you mentioning Jack Daniel's Honey? What'd y'all think? They just started carrying it here, might pick up a bottle.

We'll also sample some single malts - that fancy liquor store has a tasting bar with close to a hundred wines and spirits you can sample for a nominal fee.

Lesdoit.

Fine then, y'all be like that.

I tasted the best whiskey I've ever had today, Dalmore 18 years. Oh my fucking God, the sweet creamy finish kept going forever, had to drink two glasses of water and eat a handful of crackers to clean up my palate before I could move on to the next tasting, a Glenfiddich 21 years, which paled in comparison.

Boys, this shit is the motherfokken shit... 9.9 Matty Rains:

Yeah, that Dalmore was unreal.

We just acquired this Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve and can't wait to try it this weekend.

On a related note, we'd really love to join some kind of scotch-tasting club, cause buying whole bottles of premium stuff is prohibitively expensive. This guy at the liquor store was raving about Ardbeg 10yrs, but fok me if I'm going to blindly spend $100 on an unknown bottle.

:fok:

We just poured ourself a JD Single Barrel. Beautiful beautiful cheap-ish stuff.
