-185 at Matchbook.

In my opinion Vancouver towers over Boston in practically every category.

With out getting in to a long winded rant I love the play on the Canucks tonight at -185 to -200 and if the impossible happens and they lose I will get a good price on Vancouver to win the series (and cup).

For me tonight's game is a free play on Vancouver, I can't see them losing 4 games to Boston.

I am cheering for Vancouver but I would not bet it at that number. Playoff hockey always looks like a coinflip to me - so getting +180 on a side looks pretty good.

Vancouver showed in the Chicago series that they are not exactly a juggernaut. I could definitely see Boston beating them 4 times. When I think of the upsets I have seen in my lifetime, I could see just about anybody beating just about anybody 4 times in playoff hockey.

But good luck. Go Canucks.

I'm going by what I've personally seen from both of these teams so far in the post season, Canucks have the edge in every category I can think of (Boston power play is atrocious - getting better vs Canucks seems like a longshot) and I'd personally be surprised if Boston beats them twice, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Canucks sweep in this series, really.

So I'm betting on Vancouver, heavily, if I'm wrong I lose, pretty simple, my strategy here is to bet heavily tonight on the Canucks moneyline for game 1 and should the impossible happen I can bet the Canucks to win the series at much better price when they are down a game.

The Western conference appeared to be much stronger than the east this year, I would have liked San Jose to beat Boston if they got past Vancouver.
I would have bet that as well.

I am 100% with you on this Plom. I'm taking the Vancouver Puckline tonight. I think Vancouver has way more depth and their special teams are much better as well. I think it is gonna be Vancouver in 5 games.

obviously vancouver is the better team but I wouldn't be comfortable betting them at that price

as for the first post, you may as well just bet canucks series rather than game based on your rationale

I am very comfortable betting them at this price because I'm convinced they will run over the Bruins.

Series price (approx -240) is obviously worse than the game 1 price so I'll take the game 1 moneyline and likely cash that.

Should the Canucks lose game 1 I can bet the series at a much better price - I don't expect that to happen, fully expecting the Bruins to be trounced.

I fukkin hate the Canucks personally, but this is business.

I just think that your logic points to a series bet now

taking a loss first and then making a series bet doesn't seem rational

Don't plan on taking a loss, I plan on cashing my moneyline bet tonight.

The series price is plan b, I'd expect close to even money on the Vancouver series price if somehow the B's win game one.
