There is a radio ad I have been hearing lately that gets my goat.
It is for Telus whom I believe are in the cell phone business. Anyway their angle is they want people driving in cars, when they are stopped at an intersection, to hold their thumbs up. The purpose is twofold. (1) It shows the people around you that you are not texting and driving and (2) it is supposed to be a hearty thumbs up of congratulations to those fellow motorists for not texting and driving.
They say it like they are serious but I can't believe they really expect anyone to do it.
But it just bugs me because it's so ghey. Like I agree, texting and driving is stupid as fok but I gotta think it is only a small percentage of people who do it. Like why not go up to everyone you see who is not injecting smack, and give them a way-to-go hug? Why not give congratulatory handjobs to anyone who is not robbing a bank?
Okay I'm being silly.
But it gets my goat.
