was enjoying lunch with the mrs. a few hours ago and she hits me with the question, "remember what we were doing 17 years ago?". had no clue, ran it through my head for a few seconds, june 1994, june 1994, june 1994. only thing that year reminded me of was the goldern baseball strike that came in august. so i just guessed and suggested that was one of those miserable nights she dragged me to see johnny mathis or someone like that.

nope, turns out we were over at a friend's house trying to watch the rockets, knicks nba finals game that kept getting interrupted by that jackass oj simpson and his buddy al cowlings driving through los angeles. all i really recall was being pissed that they kept showing the alleged chase scene on one-half of the screen and the basketball game in the other half.

anyone have a good story about that night? certainly has to be better than mine.

Was about to go to bed. Mommy Rain woke us up and we watched the white Bronco for a bit. Then we started flipping channels. Then we came back to the Bronco, which was parked in the driveway or something, and we were all (silently) half-hoping to see OJ shoot himself in the face. He did not and I went back to bed.

:dunno:

We were on a family vacation at a kittyhawk beach.

I came up from the pool for some cheeseburgers my dad had been grilling by the pool, and to get my kite.

everyone was watching the tv, which is odd on vacation. and there was the white bronco, going 35 mph's

I think we all wanted a big big ending and shooting at the end.

I mean Al Cowlings kinda made it seem like that might happened.

that damn bronco parked in the driveway shot, must have been broadcast for 90 mins.

just tailights and the butt end of a bronco.

we were all disappointed I think.

OH went on to have a nice Golf career for a few years, before he reverted back to nigga behavior for a few trophies and shit

prob in a wheelchair behind bars now.

No particular memory of those events. Not much memory of the whole OJ case start to finish. I didn't pay near as much attention to it as the media leads me to believe I was supposed to.

I want to call it an American vs Canadian phenomenon but I don't think that's true. I remember the place where I was working at the time basically shut down the afternoon of the verdict. Everyone (except me) gathered around a TV.

It just didn't grab me.

But no, I couldn't tell you what I was doing the night of the Bronco bit.

irony is me being on jury duty in harris county (texas) the day of the verdict. room of about 400 people or so waiting to be split up into different trial groups right after lunch. there was a lot of noise coming from the office/clerk area of the courtroom that none of us outside understood. a clerk came out to the bench and made the announcement they found oj not guilty. about half the room cheered, the other half groaned. woman behind me mutters, "i can't believe they let that nigger go." naturally i get stuck with her in my same jury group for voir dire.

WTF?
Bayer and TTWarior1 posting the same basic thread at 2 different forums?
Who is lurking where?
trust me when i say i do not visit/lurk/read the sbr message board. since you're the one who came up with the old jjgold style of adding 'er' to poster's names, i.e., bayer, i'd say you are the one who has lurked too long at that site.

Cool your heels Tex, I've never denied posting there or failed to acknowledge the influence JJ Gold has added to the posting styles of many who have been exposed.

Notice I said that TTWarrior was the poster there that posted a similar thread to yours here, if you think I think you need to be inspired by Warrior then you have been in that Texas heat far too long.
