I am going out this evening and two shows I want to tape are on at the same time. LOST and Death Comes to Town.

My tentative solution is to tape Death Comes To Town which is a half hour and then the second half of LOST.

Probably a dumb question but: would I be able to watch these shows online?

A VCR? You are the first person I know that still records to them.

I have U-Verse so I can record 4 shows at once, not that I ever need to. But it does come in handy in the rare times I want to record two shows while still watching a live show.

Agree with the others, get a a DVR.

No you would be unable to do that....but you could always invite her over to your place to watch of course.

Ah. That is a something I do fairly often actually, tape stuff and watch it at a friend's place.

So the new technology would actually restrict me. That doesn't seem right. Anyway I don't feel completely dorky for my situation.

Muddy, you can run the DVR out feed into your VCR; and then your VCR out into your TV. That way you can tape things from your DVR to your VCR....or Beta player....or whatever the fuck you Canadians are still using up there.

Have you upgraded your car to a cassette player yet, or still with the 8 tracks?

Mudcat, don't get too excited with Lost per MrsMonkey! She says it can't go anywhere but up from last week's episode but don't bet on it! She's debating as I type whether to watch it live or not. She might watch Purdue-MichSt with me if I put a bet on it! God, I love this gal, just don't know who the hell to play?:clueless:
