So using the traditional Roman Numerals, this Super Bowl would be Super Bowl L.

But I'm not seeing any of that. I wonder if they are giving up on the Roman Numeral thing - which has been kind of pointless really. How do Roman Numerals fit in with anything today anyway?

Or is it just because the one digit seems like there is not enough going on?

Maybe they could call it Super Bowl XLX.

Don't you think they should have the game earlier though? I guess I am showing east coast bias but people go to parties - and then the game doesn't end until after 10 - and you don't wanna just go rushing out. You hang around a bit. And then you have to get yourself home and unwound and whatnot.

And then everyone has to work the next day.

Either start the game a couple hours earlier or else make the day after the SB a statutory holiday.

Now I think about it, I am preferring the latter option.

Interesting article here chock full of fun facts.

Just listening to some expert jibber jabber about the big game - and the point was made that Cam Newton will definitely do a running play early in the game - because that will put it in the defense's head that they have to watch for that.

Really? They don't know that before the game starts? Cam Newton might run? They have to see it before they realize it's a possibility? Gary Kubiak has just no idea about anything that has happened in Cam Newton's career thus far?

I started to then stopped pretty quickly as they were discussing how the players pass the time on Game Day.

I'll check in once the snacks have been purchased. Im doing salsa verde pork , with mexican rice and nachos and chicken wings

I am having a nice pork roast. I just put it in the oven for a 20 minute sear at 450 before I will cut back to 325 degrees. Smells pleasantly of garlic right now.

Not going out this year for the Super Bowl. Just going to sit here and watch it by myself. It will be the first time in decades I have done that. I am breaking a tradition. I feel good about that. I hate tradition. Breaking a tradition gives me a feeling of freedom.

I was invited to the usual thing but declined. I actually lied and said I was doing something with Jenny. I have my reasons.

Just gonna sit here and watch the game. I am actually very interested in this game and will be happy to focus on it.
