Yup, and I"m sure Mac would've wanted it that way in all seriousness, nobody needs to go to jail over it. He was very vocal about being especially rampant with his substance abuse since the Ariana breakup. He died how he lived - all out. A bunch of his fans blamed it on her and that's just lowdown bullshit. He was vocal about trying to stay out of the "27 club" (musicians that died at 27).

Mac did avoid that club but not the way he hoped.

I thought that too at first but then I saw that a cardiac arrest was what was called in. That made coke the easy choice;, loving blow is a common theme in his tracks, not really anything else besides alcohol. I forget who said it but someone was quoted as saying they saw him coke up to drink more many times.
