At least Moyer had 5 or 6 years where he was the best pitcher on his own team, which is more than you can say about Damon as a hitter. Moyer finished in the top 6 for Cy Young three times in his career, which is way more than you can say about Damon and the MVP... the highest he ever finished...

Biggio's not in and he was a better player than Damon. Biggio was a 7-time All-Star, 4-time Gold Glove winner, and a 5-time Silver Slugger winner. He's 20th all time in hits, 5th all time doubles, 13th in runs, and 17th in times on base. Damon has never won a silver slugger or a gold glove...

So was 500 HR's. I don't see Raffy, or McGwire, or even Bonds getting in any time soon either.

Damon has been no better than the 3rd best offensive player on his team since he left KC 11 years ago.

So if he ends up with 2,998 hits then it's perfectly understandable to leave him out? Sounds kind of arbitrary.

Again, Damon has made TWO all star teams in 16 years. He's a nice player but he's never making the Hall of Fame. Never.

Johnny Damon is NOT a hall of famer. He's not even that close to 3,000 hits anyway. Would need 2 more very productive seasons to get there. He's a career .286 hitter who has broken .300 only 5 times in his 16 year career. He's had 200 hits ONCE in his career. He was always a below average...

I didn't learn anything about my team that I didn't already know and expect. The Braves are a bunch of choking dogs and have been for 20 years. The Cards and Phils did me a favor last night. I'm seriously relieved that I don't have to watch them fail in the post season again this year.
