Sounds like Stanton might be done and is gonna hold up the Yankees for his 32mil this year. Maybe they'll buy him out for the final two years of his deal (19m and 15m) so we all don't have to go through the Strasburg motions.

I really want him to get to 500 HR’s. I wonder if the “personal reasons” he out for have to do with him struggling with maybe announcing his retirement?

He’s a great guy and provided many great memories for my sons and I while he was a Marlin.
 
Always liked Stanton wasn't a loud mouth from what I recall and handled playing in NYC well. If stats are like last season, Yanks should be happy and possibly stays healthy, production should increase. Nice advanced stats for 2024 shows RISP .278 average, .350 OBP, .583 SLG, and .933 OPS. Believe Yank fans would like those numbers for 2025.

And the .278 avg ranked 27th in AL.
