But let's not pretend like the world is going to end if Biden becomes president.
You would say the same about the Don term 2.0? Let's not pretend the world is going to end if Trump remains president?
No. And if that makes me a hypocrite, I can live with that. But it's my belief.
It does and you are. Shameless.
And my opinion in regards to your post is that you grossly overestimate how much who wins president is going to affect things.

Things will not be nearly as bad as you think if Kamala wins or as good as you think if Trump does.

Everything mostly stays the same.

Welcome to reality, Davey! All these fuckos are the same!

Nothing matters, those that control behind the scenes control no matter what. Little wiggles on the margin, but really life goes on (or we're all still doomed, depending on your perspective).

A couple observations.

1. Was asked for ID (first time in my life). Looks like there's an electronic sign off now. So I think this can dispell the "someone else voted for me" thing, at least in Cook Country anyway.

2. There are a lot of Democratic Judges running unopposed. I get that it's Cook, but if you want to win the game, you have to at least field a team. And judges tend to be, you know, important.

3. There was an older woman wearing a Trump shirt saying "Go Trump" as she left the polling station. Each state has different laws regarding this so I looked it up. Apparently Illinois has laws prohibiting campaign materials, signs, banners, and literature. But not apparel.

Influencing voters, soliciting votes, political persuasion are also prohibited. Seems like she broke that second law, but I wasn't persuaded regardless.

4. I was given the option of a paper ballot or an electronic one. The guy as he was searching for some tag identifier said he ran out of the electronic ones and had to go get some more tags. I said "Eh, just gimme the paper ballot, it's fine." So I filled it out old school. The lady fed them in the machine after I finished and it said the ballot was accepted.

All in all I was confident my ballot was cast and counted properly, and my district has in place the necessary requirements for a fair election process.

i voted

LOL but last time I voted in NJ in 2016 still didn't have to show any ID. You can see why NJ and IL are two of the most politically corrupt states in the US!

I guess what I'm saying Monkey is I think there are some clearly positive changes occuring with elections in the country. As far as what I saw in Cook County anyway. It's my first time voting here so I wasn't sure what to expect. Back in Rockford they would just ask me what my name was, and didn't want to see my ID.

People act like it's a foregone conclusion that Project 2025 will be in full effect if he wins. It probably won't.
People do a lot of things not making sense. Anyway I have no idea what 2025 is about? What is the specifics with it?
The key here though is those "probablies". The man orchestrated an attack on our capital. He says a lot of scary stuff. He isn't getting sharper and more stable with age.
I give you that, TRUMP does say scary, goofy stuff at times. TRUMP is just a big mouth, egotistical mean person at times that wants to act like a big shot.
But yeah, I guarantee you that you care about the result of the election a lot more than I do. All of our day to day lives will stay about the same.
I probably do but your post representation at times says otherwise. So both of our lives stay the same, fine. I just think of the high costs of everyday essentials for people living week-to-week funds. That and the younger generation not having enough funds or high interest rates preventing them from purchasing a home. Coupled with not enough affordable housing that finding a place to rent under 2K is difficult.

We're both became registered INDEPENDENTS years after seeing the results of Bush with Iraq along with Cheney and Co. profiting from it. The only problem with the Democratic party for me is how radically left they have become. Just wish the moderate left had more control of the party.

I'm not completely confident that TRUMP will win. Numbers say the Reps doing well with early voting and Dems not as well as in 2020. Though in 2020 Dems publicized big with it while Reps really didn't give it much credence.

Heard a few pundits mention only so many Rep votes out there so how many are left today? Opposite side Dems have done less mail-in balloting but maybe more votes have to be out there.

From Oct 1st to 16th, Harris raised 96M to TRUMP'S 16M. Way bigger total campaign number for Harris. Benefit being was seeing so many Harris ads early. Had to guess 5-1 over TRUMP. Last few days closer to even.

Though heard this eoungh times from pundits on both sides that Dems have produced the best ground game ever with regards to knocking on doors. For me seeing someone knock on my door at least gives me notice to see what they are about.

Does Harris get enough election day support today in PA if above is the true? Probably does but do they went the effort to vote? :dunno:

Couldn’t come up with your own slap?

Hey man, if asking me that helps you rationalize your terrible judgement, I’m ok with that.

😀
Which terrible judgement? I didn't vote for the communist liar, I voted for the capitalist one.

As for the slap -

Just pointing out your hypocrisy, which Davie would do, if he didn't agree with you ;)
