There are many immigrants that chose to come here the right way (I'm friends with a couple). These people belong here. The illegal ones don't. It's really that simple. Either you have laws and enforce them, or you don't.

I’m 100% in favor of legal immigration and deporting those who come here illegally (especially felons).

However, some of the MAGA narratives about illegals eating pets and Venezuelan gang takeovers are fucking cringey and I’m quite frankly shocked that some people believe this alarmist shit.

I think what typically happens is renegade journalism from people looking for clicks. It's very tough to confirm certain things when you see them posted. I think the Springfield situation is a good example. There's actually plenty of of real content (from the actual mayor) and from others at City hall meetings about the pets and other animals going missing, etc.

But just yesterday I saw a clip of a "Haitian Militia" forming in Springfield. Turns out it was ‘Israel United in Christ’ group marching in support of the Haitians in Springfield, OH.

It's hard to remember, to literally investigate everything before sharing it. I think people are lazy typically, and just say, well this fits the point I was trying to make, so I'll click this button.
