I have many thoughts. My first is, it will not pass. Nothing to do with merit - just general resistance to change.

Okay so let's suppose it did just for the sake of discussion. I have to think it would mean the end of the 1-point convert. Not that that's a terrible loss but you would have to be pretty stupid to go for 1.
Except maybe very late in the game to give yourself a 10 point lead.
I know coaches can be ridiculously stuffy and conservative but the 2-point convert is already close to equal long term value to the single. It's a hair under 50% conversion rate. I find it ridiculous that more teams don't work on their 2-point convert game, get their percentage up over 50, and basically default to that except in specific late game situations.
But as I say, stuffy, conservative.
BUT then throw another 40% shot (or whatever) for another point ---> definitely tips the math way in favor of going for the points and away from the single.
