Man-spreading. That's a thing.

I had heard some discussion of it ---> now I have witnessed it first-hand.

Takes a conscious effort not to man-spread on public transit. Them seats are narrow.

I guess. I was always ready to make that conscious effort - although because I was always going opposite the main traffic flow, I did not deal with a lot of super-crowded situations.

Generally I was more than welcome to 2 seats on the bus. There were times on the train where I had the entire coach.

But sometimes, there were situations where a big dopey lummox could have made concessions for a mom-dad-young-daughter.

In my opinion.

Not sure how much it comes across on the forum but I am a huge believer in courtesy in public. All pleasant and whatnot.

Miami just recently completed their airport connected rail. I used it a couple weeks ago and thought it was fabulous. Real cheap ($2.25?) and it originated at the airport so its punctual, very fast to government center.

Gonna get to test this again tomorrow morning. TROOONNNNAAAYYY!!!

$2.25?!? Unreal. Toronto's rail service to the airport is gonna cost like $30.

I took a really cheap TTC bus to the green subway, was like $2-3... I remember b/c I stuffed the paper singles in the bus fare collection and the driver called me crazy for using a 40 year old bill (I forgot now all canadian singles are coins).

Yah yah, there is TTC service, but it takes forever to get downtown from the airport. This new train is gonna go right from Union station to Pearson and back.

Now? The $1 bill disappeared in 1989 (coin was introduced two years prior.)

Did you actually use out-of-circulation dollar bills recently?

The 192 - Airport Rocket to/from Kipling Station. Not so bad - 1hr to downtown.

Yeah, I'd rather eat glass than commute on the TTC with luggage. Did it exactly once.
