Why do internet people love cats so much?

I was brainwashed
my dad hates cats and instilled the hatred in us.

my wife brought home cat once agasint my will. I was the only person in the house that the cat would sit with or let pet it. LOL
we then let her outside, and she never came back, but she hangs at the neighbors house and roams the neigborhood like a diva.
she wont even come here to eat.

so I dont hate cats just dont care for them

I don't understand how anyone can hate another living creature (humans included)...but I guess that's just me. Was the cat spayed?

I guess I was brainwashed, my dad never allowed my sister to get a cat. But I guess it started with my grandfather whos neighbors cat used to roam around in his yard, and piss him off at no end. My grandfather used to buy tennis ball and slit them with a knife and stick fishing hooks and leave them in his yard to fuck with the cat and the neighbor.

At heart, I am a dog man.

Mrs. Dunder was a cat owner when we met and we have pretty much always had pet cats since. We only have one at the moment but she is just about the most affectionate cat you will ever see. I am in my 'office' at the moment and she is sitting watching Moto GP qualifying with her paws on my lap.

no she wasnt spayed, it was my wifes responsibility and of course that meant it never got done.
cat is the neighborhood whore cat, shes had at least 3 litters that I know of...

been hit by a car and still getting around
but she has nothing to do with us anymore, she runs when we come out.
the cat has issues
