its very easy to get ahead in this country. i have been working just above min wage since i was 14 and i am now 24. in this time i have paid myself through college, paid for 2 cars, paid rent since 19 and saved up enough to put a 15,000 downpayment on a house, bought my wife a car shortly after we married, and ive paid off all of her school loans.

soon i wont have to pay for anymore school semesters and ill have a higher income, anyone who cant achieve success in this country is just lazy or made bad decisions.
 
scrappers/homeless guys are getting rich around here with the rise in metal prices. Which in turn is making the liquor stores around here rich, which is prob going to terrorist groups.

I gotta move to the country soon

yeah, but not in a long time.


first one, was like 2 months into moving to chicago....a guy apparently running from the cops, broke into our 2nd floor apartmen and hid out, and hid his gun in some jeans on a drying rack. and left...After we got home he came back for the gun.

we thought he was messed up on drugs, kept telling him he had the wrong apartment. but he started to describe the place to us from outside the door. and said his gun was in some "pantses" hanging up. Sure enough there was a tiny old gun, with rubber bands on the handle.

I put some gloves on, wiped the gun down and took the 4 bullets out and told him to meet me outside downstairs.

I gave him the gun back. kept the bullets. I hoped at least that a raggedy old gun like that would be hard to find bullets for. But i'm most likely an accessory to murder now.

I saw the guy every few months in the neighborhood. really tiny like 18-21 year old. He come up and say to me like I was his best friend. and ask me if I needed anything to come look for him. and he told me his stupid street name. I can't remember it now. always made me feel dirty
 
How did you settle for that particular ghetto neighborhood out of all the ghetto neighborhoods in America? What made you decide here is where I want be a church secretary and help under privilege children counseling their fuck up family home lifes?
 
had been working in a huge juvenile facility outside of Pittsburgh called George Junior Republic.... for 5 years during undergrad and grad school. a few months before I finally decided to move. A counselor in the building next to me was Killed by 2 kids trying to escape.

Previously i'd have kids go back to ghettos in pittsburgh, philly, chicago, detroit, DC ect. and go to jail or get killed.

so I knew I wanted to go to a ghetto in a big city that wasn't chicago. orginally I was going to Philly. as I had about 3 kids in my home from and 2 from chicago.

the chicago kids said that was the place to be because of the sports teams and beaches.
