And the thing is they thought everything was good. Hosting was in Sweden and the corp was in Netherlands everything perfectly safe and inline with their laws. But their domain registrar was American which cooperated right away with the fbi to steal their name/brand/access.

Yeah. That's how the government keeps seizing the gambling sites' domains. The U.S. controls all top level domain servers. Any TLD's outside of the U.S. are updated via Anycast announcements.
