After getting the chop, a former employee of TV pitchman Vince Shlomi, a.k.a. Vince Offer, has slapped him with a lawsuit alleging he treated her in an “inappropriate manner” and required her to work hours of unpaid overtime.

Is it a sham? Wow, we’ll have to wait to find out.

The suit, filed by Jennifer Kosinski in a Florida court April 1, said Shlomi, president of Square One Entertainment, hired her as a customer-service representative before promoting her to be his personal assistant. The company is known for selling the Slap Chop, a hand-held device for chopping vegetables, and the ShamWow, a cloth used for cleaning up spills.

The lawsuit alleges Kosinski, who described herself as a “young model,” was required to be at Shlomi’s beck and call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Among the allegations, which have yet to be proven in court:
• Shlomi offered her $20,000 and to send her parents on a month-long vacation in exchange for her eggs.
• Shlomi required her to attend business and social events to ensure he “did not drink too much and . . . get into trouble.”
• Shlomi spied on her and her boyfriend, touched her inappropriately, and asked that they sleep in the same bed together.

The suit also alleges Shlomi engaged in “bizarre and inappropriate” behaviour during the time she worked with him (July 2009 to April 2010), including an assault on a prostitute on Feb. 7, 2010 for which he was charged with aggravated battery.
