The men's world championships are currently taking place in Cortina D'Ampezzo Italy and team Canada skipped by Kevin Koe has advanced to the final game.

Our opponent on Sunday morning could be Norway or Scotland.



Canada, fresh off Kevin Martin's spectacular Olympic effort where he went undefeated and won the gold medal, now looks to capture our 32nd world title since these championships began in 1959.

Looks like Scotland, like Canada, has a different team than in the Olympics. A lot of experience among those Scots though. I know Warwick and David Smith well.

Our guy Koe is a rookie on the international stage.

It would be a nervous match-up for me.

So it is Norway who advances to the final. Scotland has already won the bronze medal game.


And in the gold medal game, Canada scores a HUGE 3-spot in the first end to apply the pressure.

Well there it is. Canada goes up 9-3 after 8 ends and Norway retires with the velcro snap.

Gold medal Canada at the Olympics and now the worlds. Great year for the Canadian men.
