i ate a half dozen or so... they literally burst open with the first bite and that made it even harder... gross to think about, but i was being pressured, so i just went with it...almost like a dirt taste with some spicy sauce

Survivorman had these on his Australian outback episode. He got them out of a tree. I think they were moth larvae (witchetty grub).

Skip to the 5 minute mark and watch until 8:40. Les Stroud is a good Canadian dude.
