Windows Media Player Question

I could spend an hour trying to figure this out. Maybe someone here can help quicker.

I keep all of my music on an external hard drive. For years I have used WMP to pull from that and randomly select songs from my collection to play. Never had a problem.

All of a sudden, WMP is pulling pictures. So once a song is done, if it randomly (shuffle feature) pulls a picture, it stops playing and the picture just sits there. I have to hit next to get it to go to another song.

Never used to do this. No clue what changed. Any help?

Right click on the picture tab in the left navigation pane, select customize navigation pane, and uncheck pictures.

OK I do that....I see under Sync Devices, music, videos and pictures are checked (kinda...the square is actually filled, not checked..?)

Should I clear videos and pictures here?
