It's funny. One thought I have had repeatedly since the launch of my Leafs fandom is that: while I am enjoying the team and following the scores and working on my Mike Babcock impression, the downside is there are tons of Leafs fans who are just complete dipshits and I don't want any association with them.
I imagine the same would be true of, say, Blue Jays fans if I took a close look at it, but I have been settled into that for so long, any extreme dipshittery has just blended into the background. But with the Leafs fans, I have been actively hating on (some of) them for so long, it is harder to reconcile.
We're on the same side and I just have to deal with it.
I imagine most Marlies fans are Leafs fans so maybe they're who I'm talking about.
