Speed is HUGH. Has to connect to high tv and stream as flawlessly as possible. Has to be able to handle high end poker and real estate software. I7 minimum.

As simple as possible to plug and play. Don't like to have to tinker a ton to learn shit.

Looking to spend as close or under $500 as possible. Moving is expensive.

Looking to purchase online.

GO.

All computers were broken or lost, can't really go into detail just alot of complications arising from the near death experience is the best way to put it for now.

Ah nice ty for the selections fellas, Ima make a decision today.

Egg I hope you get some good suggestions... because I am in the market for a laptop and a new phone after I broke both last week.

tully buy a Nexus upfront and get this service: https://charge.co/plans

$3/month keeps your number alive
$13 per GB data but the data never expires and rolls over to the next month
$10/month gives you number + sms
$20/month gives you number + sms + unlimited nationwide talk

this is how it works for me: I have the $3/month plan to keep account alive, I load $10 on a Skype number for the times I must call with a number, banks etc, on the Skype app, Skype credit is pay as you go something like 3 cents a minute not the monthly plans, with my usage I'm not the type to be stuck on the phone downloading stuff when I'm out and I have barely used any Skype credit, I have no use for sms it's insecure for 2fa, and I used to proxy calls anyway, anyone I do care to talk with I use other apps

so for the past 3 months since I had this setup I have used

1 GB $13
3 months service $9
$0 on sms + talk
skype $10

not for everybody but it fits the same pattern as me it's a good setup, I'm out the country most of the time anyway so it was a waste of money, that service is on spring though don't know if it's good in your area

Is it good for streaming sports? Ever connect it to an HDTV and if so was it pretty seamless? What speed u got?

Debating low-grade i7 or high grade i5.

No problem streaming anything. I got a Google Chromecast now that takes care of the heavy lifting when streaming, but before that I was always connecting to the TV via HDMI, worked flawlessly.

I'm sure that the current i5s are plenty good for general multimedia tasks. Mine's an old i5-2450M @ 2.5ghz.
