When you are doing spreadsheet work and listening to Tchaikovsky . . .

You have a point Mudcat, I just find it hard to work with Tchaikovsky or any other classical music playing in the background, and just to show you that I alteast googled the name,(which I really didn't) I cannot work to the Nutcrackeror the 1812 overture. For some reason though, I have no problem listening to kick ass rock like AIC, Tool, Metallica, or even punk music from Nofx, Black Lips, and others.

Yeah I am exactly the opposite. I like lots of modern music but when I am doing spreadsheets, accuracy is all-important and I find that that suffers if I have clever lyrics being sung. It distracts me. I go with the symphonies and orchestral pieces.

Now you could make the point that jumping up to air conduct is a sign that the classical music is also distracting. That would be a hard point to argue.
