Just off hand when I hear the name Johnny Damon, I can't believe he could ever get into the H of F even with 3000! IMO Biggio was a better player!
Last I heard Jamie Moyer was going to continue pitching till he gets 300 wins! Guy in the back of his mind thinks he will get into the Hall by reaching that number! Unreal!
At least Moyer had 5 or 6 years where he was the best pitcher on his own team, which is more than you can say about Damon as a hitter. Moyer finished in the top 6 for Cy Young three times in his career, which is way more than you can say about Damon and the MVP... the highest he ever finished was 13th.
Think about that for a second. The highest Damon was ever considered in a particular season was the 13th most valuable player in the American League. Biggio has a 4th and 5th place finish to his credit, also a 10th and 12th (and 16th) fwiw.
