It was barely dusting when I left home this morning. So I just wore my running shoes.

By the time I got here, this.

Like I had a few errands to do on my lunch ---> the snow up to my car was a foot deep. In running shoes.

Neat.

Working from home tomorrow. Office has already been shut down. NS and NB always get the hardest hit as these things typically develop into weather bombs from shit from the west. Snowblower is already prepped. We're ready to roll.

It won't be as bad as the U.S. media are making it out to be. We get these things often and they end up turning out to be bad, but not nearly as bad as people want to make it out to be or what it was hyped up to be. 2' - 3' of snow isn't a big deal around here. City will be shut down for a day and then it's back to normal.

I am definitely, 100% not helping out the neighbour. I already offered to show him how to use my snow blower. He declined.

I spoke to his wife the other day and she said her son is never outside anymore and doesn't go on our rink because "he's too lazy" and his father said the same thing to me about 3 weeks ago. No wonder why the kid is lazy. He's a product of his environment. My kids will be thrilled to come outside tomorrow evening and help clear the rink off and shovel a bit out front. IN fact we will go out every fe hours tomorrow to clear the rink off when we are getting hammered. It makes things easier if you clear it bit by bit, but I can always put the snowblower on it. I did that a few times last year. No biggie.
