The old park was horrendous. Baseball can't be played on football fields since once game requires a rectangular area and the other a circle's sector area.

Looks like an amazing place to both watch from and play at! What I don't understand is why they would build it for such a shitty team!

Seriously though I don't think you can underestimate the value of a home crowd cheering you on! The Phillies always state how much the crowd pumps them up! The Marlins for years played in a ghost town! The players might be getting played good money to perform but how enthusiastic can they be going to work every day! Miami has a scary who's-who roster that if Ozzie gets them going will be very tough team to beat!
