It's only a 10 min drive from my house. Couldn't resist with the new season in the doorstep.

Watched the team scrimmage for a couple hours. It was hot and humid and just watching it was fun. The team is in very good shape. Passing was crisp and the RB's where running through the corridors very precisely. It was a very good experience and you are literally feet away from the players and you get to see their talents on the field. Coach Smith had the team practicing like clockwork. The Falcons will compete for the division title this year. Everyone is healthy and there is plenty of talent to push this team to the top.

Pavy doesn't the team that finished last in that division always win it the very next year?

I can't remember exactly, but there was some strange streak like that going on I am pretty sure.

I went to Bears training camp last year and it was pretty cool. Of course nothing like going to a real game, but it gets you in the spirit of things quickly.

BTW, Vid or ban next time.

If I had to choose an NFC team to root for, it would be Atlanta, as I am kinda close to them. I formerally was a Browns fan for 30 years, but had to pull the plug on them a few years back. Hated to do it, but hey, it is the Browns....

You can't videotape the practice. I took some pictures with my cell phone.

I think the Saints will be down this year and the Falcons will catch up with them.

I read today that Michael Jenkins injured his shoulder yesterday at practice...

Yeah that was yesterday at the scrimmage at North Gwinnett High School. Hopefully is nothing serious. Harry Douglas looks good so far and Finneran is playing too. As long as Michael "The Burner" Turner is good and Norwood and Snelling are fit we are fine. We have depth in all positions on offense and the defense is impressive with Lofton and Weatherspoon outstanding at LB and Robinson at the corners. Falcons should get to 10 wins easily.
