Well as you guys know I lie my pucklines. It just isn't a good time to be doing that right now. I did get barrelled in the other night on betting the Wings ML vs the Isles. Dumb, as the Isles won in OT and I lost money betting like an idiot instead of my usual strategy that works decent for me.
The typical strategy for me is this - take an elite team (Vancouver, Philly (WITH Pronger), Detroit, Pit (WITH Crosby), etc. etc. against the crappy teams (NJ, NYI, Toronto, etc.)
It is not a good time or this right now though, with the exception of Vancouver running over everything in their path except for Det the other night. The odds on Vancouver are getting thinner and thinner but there is still value there with the pucklines and NOT the $ lines.
I looked at tonight's LA/Tor game for instance. LAK - 14-6-1 at home = sexy. Toronto 7-10-1 on the road. Sexy. LAK 124 Goals for, sexy. Toronto 121 Against, sexy. Then I look at recent scores. Tor at Atl 9-3 winners. vs Stl 6-5 winner. Wtf? That is 14 goals in 2 games. The game before that they lose 2-1 to superfreak Thomas which is totally understandable then before that a 5-1 win at Ottawa.
F that!
the Isles have been weird lately too with wins at Col at Det, vs Mon, etc. They did revertback to their old form last night vs a Chicago team that I do expect to startplaying better and better along with San Jose. My whole puckline thinking as a matter o fact will be shifting out west until Crosby comes back for Philly then Pronger. Pit obviously is usta shadow of themselves without Syd but Philly gets way too much credit for how they actually are without Pronger. They are a mess at the blue line and yes their depth will have them beating a lot of mediocre teams but they are much more erratic without him then public perception will elad you to believe.
Just weird times and these are the times when you need to separate yourself from the action junkies and sit back and wait for things to settle down a little bit and focus on work and destroying Dustin.
