Well as you guys know I lie my pucklines. It just isn't a good time to be doing that right now. I did get barrelled in the other night on betting the Wings ML vs the Isles. Dumb, as the Isles won in OT and I lost money betting like an idiot instead of my usual strategy that works decent for me.

The typical strategy for me is this - take an elite team (Vancouver, Philly (WITH Pronger), Detroit, Pit (WITH Crosby), etc. etc. against the crappy teams (NJ, NYI, Toronto, etc.)

It is not a good time or this right now though, with the exception of Vancouver running over everything in their path except for Det the other night. The odds on Vancouver are getting thinner and thinner but there is still value there with the pucklines and NOT the $ lines.

I looked at tonight's LA/Tor game for instance. LAK - 14-6-1 at home = sexy. Toronto 7-10-1 on the road. Sexy. LAK 124 Goals for, sexy. Toronto 121 Against, sexy. Then I look at recent scores. Tor at Atl 9-3 winners. vs Stl 6-5 winner. Wtf? That is 14 goals in 2 games. The game before that they lose 2-1 to superfreak Thomas which is totally understandable then before that a 5-1 win at Ottawa.

F that!

the Isles have been weird lately too with wins at Col at Det, vs Mon, etc. They did revertback to their old form last night vs a Chicago team that I do expect to startplaying better and better along with San Jose. My whole puckline thinking as a matter o fact will be shifting out west until Crosby comes back for Philly then Pronger. Pit obviously is usta shadow of themselves without Syd but Philly gets way too much credit for how they actually are without Pronger. They are a mess at the blue line and yes their depth will have them beating a lot of mediocre teams but they are much more erratic without him then public perception will elad you to believe.

Just weird times and these are the times when you need to separate yourself from the action junkies and sit back and wait for things to settle down a little bit and focus on work and destroying Dustin.

The only Puck Line I would even consider tonight is St Louis -1.5 over Phoenix and even then I would be well below confident. I am sure 1 or 2 may cover the Puck Line either for or against but there just aren't any real obvious choices from what my numbers suggest.

Yeah I liked that for a bit too. Pretty much for me I love 1 or 2 immediately or I lay off. Tonight I lay off. BOL to you though.

How dare you ya fucking BASTARD!!!
The Leafs are not a crappy team. Just a young team with shaky goaltending. NYI is a crappy team with crappy owner/management.

Pit obviously is usta shadow of themselves without Syd

And now you know why I say that Crosby is the best player in the world. He has 3rd line rated wingers and he makes them look like 1st line rated wingers. This is somethign that Ovechkin cannot do, but of course Blitty would disagree with me.

Ok i agree but We both know Toronto is crappy, sorry.

I grind my teeth as I agree on Syd. As a Flyers fan I have to hate him though. Agreed on NYI being the biggest train wreck in the sport.

Puckie do you think San Jose will make a run? I think they have the depth to do it if they would just let Nitty have the damn job.

Stevie,

You crazed Flyers fans boo Santa Claus, but it's mostly douchebags following other douchebags. You know what I mean. Stevie jumped off the bridge so I will as well. Anyways..............

San Jose has depth EVERY year and always falter when they hit the post season. I, as do you, have no idea why they don't run with Nitty. He's by far the better goalie. Niemi is like Leighton. He played well because the team in front of him played better than he did. Remember you guys had that dirty nasty prick Pronger playing in front of him. Niemi, like Leighton, is an average goalie. San Jose also needs to upgrade their D if they want to go deep in the playoffs.

Right now, I see Vancouver and Detroit coming out of the West.

No I remember all the diving Syd did his rookie year. Shit was so funny. So even though he has done everything under the sun to shed the reputation we just dont forget.

Why does SJ keep trying to make it work with Niemi? Because of the ring? It's dumb. Nitty's stats smash his this year.

Niemi 9-12-2 .908 SV% 2.84 GAA

Nitty 12-5-3 .903 Sv% 2.47 GAA

I mean I have to agree on Vancouver and Detroit but I think if San Jose can right the ship they can be very favorable from a puckline standpoint with some sexy values for like a month when they hit stride. There is no way that Nabokov was that much better than Nitty and with the emergence of Couture their depth it crazier than ever, don't you think? Don't you think they have a dominant month in them?
