Tomato, different books have different rules, so as you become familiar with the players that like to retire rather than lose, you can place those wagers at books which have action after the first set is complete. Likewise when you're betting a favorite with an injury, it's best to place those bets at books that require the match to be complete as sometimes the favorite will retire rather than aggravate an existing injury. A few European books have action after the first service, those are also handy for certain instances.

If you arb between books with tennis you HAVE to know the rules.... nothing worse than one set complete and losing and the other side has to go the distance to collect. There appears to be NO set rule as RS suggested.
