The other day that black fella that said something about the Jews in a podcast and his tv show got cancelled or got fired or something like that and I said 'who?'. I looked him up and apparently he's famous and popular and yet I had genuinely never heard of him. And this guy was in the mainstream.

Then there's the YouTubers, gamers and social media posters making millions of dollars per year whose niche I will never discover or get into. I'm guessing somebody somewhere is caring for these people and it has to be categorized as news.

Looks like its a Cosmopolitan article? Or "MSN Lifestyle"? Don't think anyone is claiming this is hard news haha.

But to Rogueys point, she's super internet famous. So it's certainly worthwhile to report it in the Cosmo/Lifestyle realm.

With the internet, the gatekeepers have changed a bit. Before it was the tv executives, Hollywood executives, newspaper editors, music executives, radio djs mostly the ones to dictate who was going to be famous and thus who the public end up caring for. Now it's the internet platforms' algorithms making these picks. Twitch made Ninja. Twitter made Trump's presidency. iOS made Spotify. On and on along many verticals. The platforms are now the gatekeepers, they dictate who wins, who surfaces to the top.

Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Tencent and Apple are hoarding an immense amount of technical know how and talent. They are dictating the computing tooling, developing it and enforcing it. Amassing computing capacity where no one will be able to compete with them. These six companies want to gatekeep not only the internet itself but people's access to computing. Control human's dependence and need on computing so that they are only allowed to participate in their walled garden. Google is the most egregious of these threats.

Nick Cannon, the guy with the $2M diamond shoes. He put his peepee inside Mariah Carey for a while.
