Can't believe Jason Heyward was only #21...

we should start to see alot more top prospects brought up, as June rolls around.... teams are waiting to save on starting the arbitration clock

Good thread, Archie. Totally missed it the first time around.

However, the smells very suspect. Although they used the caveat of "These aren't necessarily baseball's 100 best prospects because many top prospects are too far down in the minor leagues to contribute in the majors this season" there is still a big stink. Heyward was the pretty much top prospect in the game coming into Spring Training (he was #1 at Baseball America) and as long as he had a reasonable Spring Training it was pretty much certain he'd be on the Braves roster at the start of the season - and he's #21??? And Steven Strasberg - undisputedly the #1 prospect in the minors was always going to be brought up in June unless he got his by a train, and he's only #31??? Unbelievable.

Polaroid, I think writers make list and leave people off them, or place them lower to get a reaction. Then the writer can parlay that into radio gigs and other shit.

In Boston, a lot writers will just write something controversial and full of shit so they can get some paid gigs on tv and radio.
