Man I've been hearing a lot of jibber jabber about the course the last couple days. Mainly negative. It's one thing when media people criticize something - that is almost a default position - but quite a few players are calling it a joke and whatnot. Like it sound outrageously weirdly bad with some of the info about set-up I have heard.

Greens supposedly will be very fast and fairways hard as rock and neither pleasing to the eye! Could possibly Over Par be the winning score? :dunno:
 
Gotta go a fair way down that leaderboard before there is a name I think I could pick out of a line-up.

Pretty sure I would know Miguel Angel Jimenez. Like for sure I'd think, 'Okay I know that face.' I'm not sure I could get the name. I might need someone to prompt me that we are talking about the world of golf and then I'd get it.

Phil Mickelson for sure. 21st name there I believe.



If a Tiger Woods falls in a forest and there is no one to hear? Does golf exist?
 
I had the tournament on and was casually watching some of it... Im not a golfer, but the course looks pretty relentless... I actually had to turn the channel a few times because it was painful to watch how badly Tiger Woods was playing... Oh how the mighty have fallen.
 
Seems pretty much unanimous that the course sucks. Pros, analysts and fans that I am hearing all have it too far on the wrong side of the skill-vs-luck continuum which nobody seems to want for a major.

The question to me is why. Why have the tournament there? They booked it before the course was even built. Why?

Must be money. I don't know how but somehow.
