great 4-5 years of tv during the dukes run ... dukes/fantasy island/ dallas/ white shadow / hill st. blues/ knots landing/ threes company / wkrp in cincy/love boat/mork and mindy/ different strokes/happy days...hrrrm...oh mother fucking magnum pi and taxi ran then too...had to look up a few more... cheers and mash... snl was a few years before, but was must see tv for me in the early 80s... not many parents would let their little kids watch it... good shit boyz

I couldn't watch most episodes of LoveBoat. Inevitably about 1/4 of the way in one of my parents would say "I don't think this is a children's show," so I would be banished to my room before Fantasy Island and SNL.

My mom also seized my Purple Rain album after seeing something on Phil Donahue regarding "Hey Nikki."

Wasn't DOH on Friday night before Dallas?
