It was clear that Tiger Woods is now immune to any further flak after even further salacious accusations, that he bedded the college aged daughter of his next door neighbor, failed to put him off his game as he posted a 68 in the first round of the Masters at Augusta, Florida. His four under par score was his best first round performance at Augusta and still leaves him the clear favorite to lift his fifth Masters title, his first since 2005, and the odds listed at Pinnacle have him the +280 favorite followed by Phil Mickelson (+600 ) and Lee Westwood (+800).

Woods' round left him two shots off the lead in a field where 50 year old veteran Fred Couples was in sole possession of first place with the pack one shot behind made up of K.J. Choi, Tom Watson, Y.E. Yang along with Mickelson and Westwood. And on the course at least Woods was enthusiastically welcomed back to professional golf after his five month sabbatical although the same couldn't be said of in the air as a plane circled the course dragging two different banners over the course of the day; it could not be confirmed whether Joslyn James was piloting that particular aircraft.
