The Rat Pack - Live and Swingin'

Just finished watching it. If anyone is into the music and comedy of the Rat Pack, this is an excellent show even though Johnny Carson was filling in for Joey Bishop. I really wish there were still lounge acts like that here in Vegas these days. Extremely entertaining even nearly 50 years later.

I would love to go back to the beginning of the cold war, when ignorance was bliss. People smoked in doctor's offices, drove without seat belts, meth didn't exist and Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis were alive and well (Jerry Lewis isn't very well these days).

Simpler times. Most definitely.

They certainly faced their own set of problems. Although, by today's standards they seem trivial. I'm fascinated by that era actually. It's probably why I enjoy silver screen movies so much.
