guy has some serious anger management and napolean complex type issues.... yeah he really needs to not be posting....

The thing that shocks me is he really doesn't understand how bad he is coming off. He might have a decent place and might need to make a point, but he doesn't need to insult and belittle while doing so.

Bookies choose Costa Rica because they can operate however they like, they can pay, stiff, close down etc. with zero interference or consequences from the Costa Rican authorities.

This is why I would NEVER keep a large balance with any book in that country, period.

For safety and security I choose the Aussie books to hold my funds, I can easily move funds between books worldwide using moneybookers.

The fact that moneybookers will not allow Blackie to have an active merchant account with them is a warning sign to me.

I'm glad this was brought up over here cause I THINK I can have a more LOGICAL dialog here than over at SBR.

Here's my question/opinion/comments/more questions.

Without a doubt first whoever was RebateWager poster was harsh in his reply to the player. Secondly once Blackie entered the picture he took an aggressively offensive approach to the situation. I stated that in my comments in the thread as well.

The fact that Blackie puts himself front and center on SBR makes him a target. The fact he is old school in his approach makes him even a bigger target. I can not deny these facts. That said though and I'm not making excuses here, as far as the book itself goes why all the hate?

Sure, as already reported it has higher juice, fewer options, lower limits, follows movement at Pinnacle but no-one is forced to play there. As of yet this book has had no legal issue's with customers. I have yet to find any arbitration either.

So they aren't a top book but they are a viable option to anyone who thinks they need the rebates or any other promotions or offerings they have. Why all the hate? Is it former dealings that I haven't heard about is it just the tough guy image Blackie at times comes across with. is it that in the minds of some they think Blackie is in fact Walker?

For all his faults this guy Blackie does eventually offer something of an apology. Sometimes it's a challenge where the one accepting makes out like a bandit, sometimes it's extra cash or additional free plays and in some cases it's above and beyond offers of trips at a later date. Now I can understand that in the mind of some this seems like a payoff, a cover-up or whatever but maybe it's just his way of realizing his error in a given situation. My grandfather would NEVER say he was sorry but in his own way would ultimately try and make amends when he knew he was wrong, maybe Blackies way as well.

If these forums are intended to NOT shill for certain books but OFFER sound advice then by all means if there is a differing opinion then it has every right to be heard but those opinions should be labeled as such. There are books who have had questionable dealings with players and deserve whatever they get. That same shouldn't hold true for a book simply because some people think there are better options.

Am I not seeing this right?

Also if anyone read the whole thread you will notice that prior to this player making this thread RebateWager had already explained the rules of payment to him.

In all fairness and total discosure I have an upcoming opportunity to do some work for RebateWager and even though no-one here knows me I can assure you if I see anything not kosher I will terminate myself. I'm not endorsing them or Blackie, I would ask these questions about any book with a clean slate.

Also, I intend to have no e-battles with anyone about this caus that isn't the intent. A rational, logical, intelligent dialog is what I am aiming for.

your in the wrong place for that:spinner:

My observation is this.

People (mainly on SBR ie....Sammy, Tsop) who owe other people gambling winnings seem to think that because the winner wants their winnings they are broke. Blackie used the same analogy. That makes him look like Sammy and TSop in my eyes. And I still have a balance there from contest winnings.

I'm not a fan of Blackie's demeanor, of course, but I usually wouldn't consider it a big deal. I do think that when the shit hits the fan, the book owner's who have made it clear that they have disdain for their costumers are going to be the most likely to just run with the money.

Where I think Blackie may have crossed a more serious line was suggesting that he'd release MonkeyFer's personal info to his "friends" in Vegas. It's not that I really think he'd do it, but a book owner should know that the private player info he possesses is not something to be thrown around in half-hearted threats. Just knowing that that kind of thing is what pops into his head would make me very wary.

I do agree with you there 100%. Defending yourself and your product is one thing but actual threats against individuals is crossing the line even though like you I doubt this would have actually happened the threat was unjust even if it was MonkeyFocker, lol.

It all comes down to the fact that Blackie moves it to a personal level. He can disagree and explain to people they are in the wrong but he doesn't need to belittle and embarrass. He comes off like a petulant child.

Where he MAY have crossed the line?? Is this Blackie guy high or something? To even joke about something like this should be a huge warning sign to everyone sending their personal information to that book. Confidentiality is something one assumes from every online entity, even joking about the lack thereof is highly disturbing to me.

This whole nonsense has SBR John written all over it.
