Is saying 'I'm sorry' the same as saying 'I apologize''?

It's easier to say 'I apologize for spilling the juice on your cat'.

Saying 'I apologize' is the equivalent of saying, "I almost thought about considering to say sorry to you".

I always wondered why people say sorry for shit that isn't their fault. Like I'm sorry this happened to you etc. But I guess sorry really means I feel sad. Which makes sense in that context but not as an apology. So I had it backwards. So just say I apologize :dunno:
 
It doesn't even matter because Tedder said it is TOO LATE to apologize.

I'm sorry I turned into such a weird fuckstick at times when I was with my ex. I have never done well living with people. I'm pretty sure I could handle it today - 20 years later - but at that point in my life and before, it was like the walls would start closing in and I would lash out.

I don't wish we had stayed together but there was no call for my nonsense.
