What's on everyone's plates? I know our Canadian brothers can care less about turkey day. As a true American I am cooking this year. Having 7 people over. I am making the turkey, stuffing and Cauliflower soup in a slow cooker. The woman is making a litany of sides.

At 7:00 AM we are buying a sectional on sale for an extra room we have. Tomorrow is going to be busy to say the least. I hope to have a bottle of port polished off by 4PM.

Have to work Friday morning, so bedtime will be no later than 11PM. Can't make heads or tails who to bet football wise yet.
 
Ordered the meal-turkey, potatoes, dressing, green bean casserole....not doing anything special..eating and watching football.

Casper, Sounds like you have a full day. Who is "the woman?" Did I miss something?

I am living with a woman. She is my "partner in crime". It will be a full day. Just finished moving a queen size bed and frame into a back room. Gotta buy a set of curtains now. I figure I will be cleaning and setting up for 8 hours today. Probably bet horse races in between cleaning to pacify my stress level.
 
How does this guy do it? No career, no assets, no prospects, addiction issues, small penis, no discernable talents. All signs say this guy should be living under a bridge but yet here he is with a respectable domestic life and loving partner.

It's not a loving relationship as you think. She is, as Casper explains his "partner in crime." Fuck it. Maybe they are loving partners in crime. Who knows.

I call her my partner in crime because she hates the word "girlfriend". Yes, we are loving to each other as well.

Does anybody here eat parsnips? I mean, is it only edible on Thanksgiving?
 
WTG Casper!!! I have always thought that a good woman would be good for you!!! Very happy for you and your lady!


My family did not want traditional Thanksgiving food this year. So we are grilling some pork steaks with salad. I am making pumpkin cheesecake though. But for tonight, I have a small pan of cornbread dressing in the oven and am baking some chicken to go with it. I like traditional.
 
Will be watching the parade with neighbor and her daughter...apparently there are mimosas involved. I dont want to go. But I will....then back across the street for preciously mentioned perfect boring day of food and football.

Happy American Thanksgiving. I thought I would honor my US brethren, so I took the day off in solidarity.... tomorrow as well so go see a bad with my GF. Yes I am paying to go see a band play.



What does everyone think about the late game?

I think the over 45 is looking good.
