Telemarketers

Estimate I answer my business phone 30 times a day. Of those calls, roughly 5 of them are telemarketers.
Tried being cordial.
Tried asking them to “take me off the list”.
Tried to pretend I did not speak English.


Yesterday, I resorted to pretending my dog was humming my leg as I was on the phone and kept yelling “Get off me! I’m not your bitch”. As I feigned interest in what the telemarketer had to say. Telemarketers seem to not get rattled easily. He kept talking about advertising as I had a full blown fake dog humping episode.

Moral to the story is you could be in a shootout and the telemarketer will continue doing his thing. Don’t get in a shootout while talking to one of them.

Same crap happens to me too! Hear the take you off the list too but somebody else will end up calling. Doesn't piss me off that much anymore because realize it's a tough job to make a living.

Pretty much the case. Yelp is the internet mafia.

I went through the short phase of caring, but we have enough great reviews on other sites that Yelp bullshit means nothing to me.

My wife. Drives me nuts. Maybe 1 in 30 phone calls ends up not being a scam or solicitation.

Let it go to VM and use a speech to text app.

For real, it was always an issue back in the late ‘90’s sending a WU because I couldn’t spell the name correctly on the form. What a fukking hassle that was!!!
