Filed report immediately.

Did not have secondary coverage for car being stolen. I have no idea why I didn’t.

Odds of them finding it are slim. This is going to cost me a lot in the long run.

We had a non profit 15 passenger stolen in chicago 15 years ago. we made $ on it. as we bought from a nearby catholic church that was told by diococese they had to get rid of them all through the nation due to insurance coverage liability stuff ( they were a tip over risk- and kids never wore seatbelts as was hard for leaders to enforce 4 rows back)

anywho I think we got the van for like 2k and got something like 8500 in insurance.

I had my 5.0 L Mustang stolen back in 1997 from Woodbine racetrack.
The races finished and I came out to the parking lot and couldn't find my car. Was certain of where i parked it and it took a few moments to sink in that it was gone.
Friend drove me to police station to report it. Cops found it a few days later with steering column popped and damage to the front end.
Insurance covered the repairs and provided a rental while I waited.

My Toyota was financed and I was required to have theft coverage by the lender. That car never got stolen.
