Starting to like the Pens

Hate to say it, as you guys know I bleed Black and Orange, but these gueys keep winning without their stars. Their backup goalie fights and breaks faces. Their star gets scrappy when they are in a slump.

Most Philly fans would never say it, but honestly I am self actualized enough to admit that I am developing a true like and respect for this team as much as I want 1st in the division and the conference to be a walk for us.

It's scaring me a little.

don't you live so much closer to Pittsburgh than Philly? how did you come to like the Flyers?

Yes I do, good question Arch.

Growing up my older brother had his favorite teams so I always took the opposite.

Him the Oilers me Philly ('84 finals). Him the 9ers me Marino and the Fins. Him the Mets me the Sox. Him Wilander (however you spell it) so me Lendl. I stuck with my teams and he flip flopped on a couple. I stick with them regardless of where I am and I always will.

Doing quite well. Yesterday his son started floor hockey. I gave him a Flyers sweatshirt with Bugs Bunny in a Flyers uniform. His favorite team is the Flyers/or the Devils depending on his mood but his favorite player is always Bugs Bunny. Mine too actually.

I agree man. You get the perks of the fun side of the kids but when it's cry/scream time it's on the parents.
