I signed up with Players Only Poker because they have some great offers and mostly because I signed up for rakeback from them.

I see their sports betting division gets a D- at SBR and that they are affiliated with Sportsbook.com.

The reviews about the poker division of Players Only is excellent, how can they be rated so differently?

The poker division is generally merely a poker host (as in the only income they receive is the rake) then they have got no incentive to stiff anyone. The more that people play, the more they make. But with the sportsbook - if they hand out big bonuses and have soft lines then they're generally going to lose out at some point and that is when they stiff people.

If they were short of money and wanted to stiff some of their clients, I'm pretty sure that the poker players would come low on the list. You might be the sharpest of the sharp poker players, but you would still make money for them.

The D- for most jazette brands is because of the occasional past thefts (correlated parlays), and their completely horrendous customer service.

They have occasional payout issues via checks to the usa. E-wallets (use my wallet to usa, neteller.moneybookers to rest of the world) are paid out in 1-2 days always. My guess is there is a 99.99999%+ chance that you won't have a single problem with them. However, playersonly is one of their sites directly controlled by jazzette/sportsbook.com, if they decide to steal something generally the players are fucked. A few of their other skins like betusa.com and linesmaker.com have identical options but everytime jazette has stolen their management has overturned and paid the players.

This group is one of my favorites, but I won't ever forget the millions they've stolen in the past and can't really recommend them (outside of betusa/linesmaker)

4 years ago, there slow pays via checks was the reason I found internet gambling forums.... they did end up paying up eventually, but somtimes they bounced checks...... and somtimes it took around 10 weeks to get my $.... I have no idea about the poker part of it though. but I wouldn't be posting any $ up there either

Was that the time that everyone was slow paying, though? If so, no big deal. But durito makes the best point - if they want to screw you, they will screw you. And if you're doing "something" that a lot of people are doing on their soft lines then you put yourself first in the queue.

There were lots of pay issues around then, bodog too. But, that was also when they took the million of correlated parlay players and took 150k from rickysteve.

I dunno, they allegedly have some sort of new management. What dozer has alluded to in the past though was an occasionally need to meed some profit numbers, so if they have a bad few months maybe they take some money. I would think I might be at the top of the list. I move one by one through their books slowly (easily with umw) and nail their props, they limit me to $100 after about 4 days each time now but they keep paying, giving new bonuses along the way, and I keep normal limits on everything else so I usually stay around a month or two for live betting then move on to their next skin.
