Well, I have the gameplay engine of my video poker trainer coded. I'm probably a week off on finishing the coding for the optimal play analyzer. It will likely look a little different since I threw together the graphics as quickly as possible; grabbing the card images off of the web but it does the job for now. It pretty much imitates a Game King machine with hotkeys for holding cards, betting, and dealing/drawing. If you've played video poker at a casino, chances are that at some point you've played on a Game King. Anyway, I posted a picture of the gameplay portion of the interface so far. If anyone wants to try it out and give me some feedback, I'll put together an installer and post it here as well. If nothing else, it's a good time waster.

MF. I probably wouldn't be much use to you in coding, I am actually below a code monkey in that department.

I have done some work on open source sites and forums before as low level code monkey just gathering data but my background is primarily web design, though even those skills are outdated with the popularity of wordpress.

I am actually learning wordpress right now, so if you ever want me to put up a site for you with wordpress or build a site, I will be glad to volunteer my time or help out anyway I can.

This is exciting, keep us up to date on the progress.

I wonder if you would do well on Zynga or zynga style site with this, I have a friend and she spends countless hours on that site

Gameplay is pretty simple.

To make a single coin bet or to increase your bet by a single coin hit the 'B' key on your keyboard.

For max bet, hit the 'M' key on your keyboard.

You can use your mouse to deal/draw or hold cards.

Keyboard hotkeys:

A - Hold card 1
S - Hold card 2
D - Hold card 3
F - Hold card 4
G - Hold card 5

(The Hold hotkeys are simply toggles.)

J - Deal/Draw and interrupt pay counter.

Sorry, the graphics are a bit small and the sounds a bit cheesy due to me just grabbing them off of the web for now, but you get the idea...
