Thunderstorms are weird in Vegas. They build up at the mountains and don't get that big. If there's a thunderstorm on one side of the valley, you can usually see sun on the other side. Moral of the story: There is abundant rainbow potential in Vegas.

It just doesn't rain that often.

I was swimming in the pool at binions (which is on the roof) and have seen some wicked lightning storms yet no rain can be found..... it can be crazy there. Even in August this year MGM closed the pools for lightening yet no rain happened.
