Got a wicked cold on Wednesday and Ive been getting a little better each day since yesterday.

I havent went for a run since I got the cold. I do all my running outdoors (it's an obnoxious 93 degrees out this time of year with THICK humidity).

I have done resistance training once the entire week. It was such a shitty workout that I decided it was just best to wait till I felt better.

I feel about 75% right now and I'm going to resume resistance training tommorow.

Through the years Ive heard different schools of thought on working out while under the weather (WOWUTW) and Im curious to hear Gamelives position on this.

+EV or no?

if i feel a cold coming on i try to do about 30-45 min of cardio and i have had success

i have also worked out when i am sick and regretted every minute of it

when i am sick, sauna and swim works though for me

I think you're supposed to drink more booze when you're sick. It kills whatever is attempting to kick your ass. Save the workouts for when you're 100%, especially in that humidity, you'll be stealing adenosine triphosphate from your spleen which is busting its balls to make antibodies for you.

Get a foam roller and roll around on it while you're healing.

think that's the right answer.

think that's the right answer.

When I saw that Reno responded, before I even reopened the thread I knew what you were going to say/agree with.

You're a consistent man Mr. Cool.

Sorry our paths won't cross again until next Wednesday.

The kittens and Mattyrain were bugging me. I closed them all up in your room. That was okay right?

Decided to go with sort of a hybrid plan of attack.

Going with a 2007 Cabernet tonight (Franciscan) based on RS's suggestion. The alcohol will get in there and kill all the remaining bacteria.

Then I will resume resistance training tmrw and cardio on Wednesday and refrain from alcohol until the mini bash on Saturday.
