You're more of a technician than i so thought id ask as...well, no harm right?

Sharp as a plank me sent BTC to a BCH address. Can see it up in the blockchain as 'unspent outputs'. Thankfully 1st time fukkerupperer...

So am i able to get the coin back and if so how? OP_RETURN request??

If you could help a brother out then will happily donate some of what was recovered to a favourite cause of yours...

Yours truly

THE dumbfukk...

That was sent to an exchange so all I have is the BCH wallet address...have the TX ID from where it was sent though...am I to assume that's the private key?

No, the TX ID is the Transaction ID, just an identifier

If you don't hold the Private Key there's nothing you can do to retrieve it, but the address owner, in this case the exchange, can

luckily BTC and BCH addresses are the same format and they refer to the same keys, so it is recoverable, the address owner would need to load the Private Key in a BTC wallet and retrieve the coins from there, it's a pain in the ass Tier 3 type support needed process so some exchanges might outright refuse to do it if it's a small amount and I think all exchanges will charge a % as a recovery fee if it's a sizeable amount

contact the exchange, give them the transaction info and explain it to them, they can do it.

Ever used an Msigna wallet?

No, I've never use this wallet.
